Photographs of twelve successive slices through a single banana form the artwork LINEAGE: Banana Family. The naturally occurring face images, neither physically altered nor digitally enhanced, were enlarged to human proportions and printed as portraits. They are presented in sequence, reflecting their relative positions in the original banana. Collectively, the images allude to both the maturation process and the inherited facial traits one would expect to find within any given family.
