Spanning the period between 2016-2023, these works play with various aspects of visual edge detection, perhaps the most fundamental element of human perception. Psychologists have suggested that we are essentially edge perceivers and these drawings rely heavily on recognition of subtly articulated contours to carry their concepts. Those ideas become apparent only when appropriate boundaries are visualized within the massive continuum of lines generated for each piece. Look once and see one thing, look again and see something else.
