CENSUS surveys the ways in which gods, spirits and deities have been depicted, through history and across cultures. Documenting only those found in museums or other public spaces, the project invites contemplation of the image-making impulse as applied to the unrepresentable. Cultural icons of another kind are photographed in SNOWMEN, whose faces, cobbled together from natural and household remnants, raise the question: what does it take for a collection of inanimate objects to signal expression, agency, individuality?
